Do I have to pay something?
No, absolutely not. There's no entrance fee, no obligation of consumption and you can come anytime during the event.
When are those events?
Every 2 weeks on thursday evening, usually from 20:00 to 03:00. To know when will be the next one, check out the Calendar or the Blog.
Who is it for?
Everyone is welcome! Most of the people attending the events are university students as erasmus, CouchSurfers and young professionnals.
I don't know anyone, is that a problem?
Of course not, that's one of the goals of the IMP! You can come and talk to anybody.
What are the nationalities of the participants?
We stopped counting after 63... There's of course lots of Hungarians, French and English, but you'll easily find people from Australia or any other countries.
Who are the organizers and why are you doing it?
We're a bunch of friends who have started the IMP events in September 2012. The aim is for foreigners and locals to meet in a cheerful atmosphere. At first we were about 10 per events, one year later we are more than 300/events.
There's no organization behind the IMP and that's why it will always stay free.
When and where can I get a wristband?
Everyone can get a wristband at the entrance. There is three reasons to get one:
1 - being able to spot other IMP participants to talk to
2 - you automatically participate in the free raffle thanks to the number printed on the wristband
3 - you may have discounts for the food and/or drinks depending on the bar
The IMP ambassadors give the wristbands at the entrance from 19:00 to 22:30 (last raffle)
Can I also be an ambassador?
We have enough ambassadors for the moment, but we look for new ones from time to time. Stay tuned on the facebook group .
Where do the events take place?
They will always take place in a bar downtown Budapest, indoor or outdoor depending on the weather. To know where, check out the event on the facebook page or Blog & Events page.
Do we have to join the facebook event to be able to come?
No, everyone can come so you can also bring all the friends you want. Nevertheless, it helps us to organize if you sign up on the facebook event.
We are a company, and we would like to cooperate. Is that possible?
Sorry, we want to keep things simple and informal, so we do not accept any ads/commercial offers from companies.
How to spot the ambassadors?
We all wear a black shirt with the white logo of the IMP. You'll find us easily.
Can I use the name international Meeting Point or IMP for my own event?
In order to not have bad surprises, the name has been trademarked by Komodor services Kft. and GEDO France. But tell us about your project and we would be happy to talk about it.
